Vice champion d'Europe aux arçons en 1981 (3eme en 1979), il apporta ainsi les premières médailles françaises en championnat d'Europe (avec Henry Boerio, 3eme aux barres parallèles en 1979). Il termina 3eme en 1979. Champion de France en 1978, 1979 et 1981 (plusieurs fois titrés aux agrès).
