Le 21 octobre 1999, lors de la Transat Jacques Vabre, son chavire au large des A&ccedil;ores. Il sera r&eacute;cup&eacute;r&eacute; avec grandes difficult&eacute;s par un cargo mais pas Paul Vatine, son &eacute;quipier. Directeur de course au sein de la soci&eacute;t&eacute; Pen Duick, en charge de la Transat Jacques Vabre, de 2005 &agrave; 2012, et de la Route du Rhum de 2006 &agrave; 2012 (une course &agrave; laquelle il avait particip&eacute; trois fois).
